Cheltenham & Gloucester Beer Week – 11th-17th September
Cheltenham & Gloucester Beer Week (CGBW) returns from 11th-17th September. The purpose is to celebrate beer, the fast growing brewing industry and our fabulous pub culture. Of course we just had to be part of it!
We’ll feature ales from Swindon based brewer Arkells and Cotswolds brewer Donnington. Plus we will have the CGBW Collaboration Brew (Five Each Way on Nectaron) on tap, while stocks last.
Beer & Nachos – the perfect combo? We think so! So, for the whole week (excluding Sunday) we will be offering a scrumptious plate of homemade Nachos and a pint of Ale or Exmouth Craft Lager for the bargain price of £11. Get stuck in!
Bar Games – How many hours have you whiled a way building beer mat pyramids? Not enough, we think! So, join us all week to complete our pyramid building challenge. With prizes for completed pyramids and a prize for the largest construction, think of it as a form of beer meditation.
Barking Mad Ale Trail – Saturday 16th September
We’ve teamed up with our sister pub The Royal in Charlton Kings and have created our very own Ale Trail. Pick either of the pubs as your starting point at anytime on Saturday 16th September, then buy yourself half pint of beer and pick up your Ale Trail Entry Form. There will be a fun challenge to complete before you leave, then you’ll be sent off on the trail to the next pub, picking up some fiendish (not really) clues on the way. When you reach the second pub, complete another challenge and buy another 1/2 pint of beer. Return to your starting point and you’ll be rewarded with a gold star and a smile and – go on then; a free pint of beer! You’ll also be entered into a prize draw to win some great give-aways, including a meal for two. The Barking Mad part? Well, it wouldn’t be the same without our furry friends would it? Bring along your dog and there will be some prizes for the Best Doggy Fancy Dress and a doggy ice cream reward at the end.
