cheltenham beer week – september 16th to 25th
This September, Cheltenham will become the first town in the UK to hold a dedicated ‘Beer Week’. Cheltenham Beer Week, or CBW as it’s been shortened to, will be a collection of events held across a ten-day period from 16th – 25th September with the purpose of celebrating beer, the fast growing brewing industry and the pub culture of our great town. Of course we’ll be part of it!
We will of course feature the great Donnington Brewery with ales such as Gold, BB and SBA on our bar. Plus we will feature our special Exmouth Beer Burger for just £10 for the week.
On Saturday 17th September we join up with our sister pubs; the Royal and the Strand, to create our very own Cheltenham Ale Trail. Start off here at the Exmouth anytime during the day or evening, buy a half pint of beer and pick up your Ale Trail Entry Form (free entry). There will be a simple challenge to complete before we let you leave, then we’ll send you on your way to our sister pubs. You’ll need to drink ½ a pint of ale in each pub and complete some other fun challenges, as well as picking up some clues along the way. Come back to us at the end of your strenuous (definitely not) ale journey and you’ll be rewarded with a free pint of beer and be entered in to our prize draw to win some great giveaways including a meal for two here at the pub.
It doesn’t stop there as we welcome our friends at Donnington Brewery for a Meet the Brewer night on Wednesday 21st September. Join us from 7.30pm, chat with the brewer, sample some ales and get a chance to enjoy some food pairings too.
On Thursday 22nd September join us for a special Pie & Pint night. A delicious Steak ‘n’ Ale Pie and a Pint of Ale for just £10. Now there’s a reason to come out on a school night.
To finish off the week on Sunday 25th September join us from 8pm when our usual Sunday Quiz will take a turn for the beerter! Yes questions will all be centred on glorious beer in all its forms, drinking and pubs. Usual £1 entry fee per person, teams up to six people, with some (yes you’ve guessed it) some beer related prizes!
