olympic torch relay – right here at the exmouth!

Yes how lucky are we (and you!) The Olympic torch only a few days in to it’s mammoth journey across the UK is going to be travelling down our very own Bath Road.

Join us at The Exmouth to welcome the Olympic torch to Cheltenham and The Bath Road. We’ll have the BBQ going from 4pm so come down and join in the party! The torch itself is scheduled to come along the road just before 6pm with entertainment in the road the hour before that.

We recommend getting here early to grab a good spot.

Directed by Stephen Spielberg and adapted from the novel by Michael Morpurgo. War Horse follows the growing friendship between man and beast as Albert trains Joey, and then follows Joey on an incredible journey across the English countryside after the pair are forcibly separated. Along the way, Joey touches the lives of everyone he comes into contact with, including British and German soldiers, as well as a kindly French farmer and his impressionable granddaughter. Later, in no man’s land, Joey’s extraordinary saga winds to a poignant and deeply affecting climax.

Starts 8pm. £1 entry includes popcorn

ukulele festival – june 1st – 3rd

As massive fans of anything “uke” we’re delighted to take part once again in the Ukulele Festival of Great Britain which takes place from Friday June 1st until Sunday June 3rd.

Join us on Friday evening to kick start the weekend. Drinking, jamming and fun is on the menu, and we’ll be lighting the barby too! Then join us again on Sunday following the Big Busk in town. Chill, strum and jam again! There will be open mic sessions, some surprise performances, and some fabulous stalls. As there’s no school the following day you’ve no excuse not to join us well in to the evening. You know you can never stop a uke player once they get going!
